As previously announced, NEXT continues to further develop and strengthen its product portfolio in the PC and Notebook segments. Following its recent partnership with a Chinese partner that was announced on October 4th, 2024, NEXT has broadened its portfolio by also adding the Partner’s touchpad products alongside NEXT’s own.
The design-win with this Asian customer is NEXT’s first design-win in the touchpad segment, following the announcement of the above-mentioned partnership. The customer’s end-user product is a medical keyboard aimed for industrial use, which will be demonstrated at the Las Vegas Consumer Electronics Show (CES) in early 2025.
Joshua Chiu, Senior Vice President, Head of Sales South-East Asia (SEA) at NEXT, explained the implications of this design-win:
“I believe this is a design-win, which strongly contributes to highlight and strengthen our position in this promising segment that has significant long-term revenue potential. The estimated order value for this design-win is in excess of NOK 3 million with planned delivery during 2025. Following the launch of this touchpad on keyboard, we are also working with this Asian customer on three additional touchpad projects, which are expected to be in the market in Q2 2025.”
